Sahana is a Physician Assistant born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio but relocated to North Carolina in 2006. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University and went on to graduate school at North Carolina State University, obtaining her Masters in Counseling. She continued her work in mental health for three years at both North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina prior to going back to school for her Masters to become a Physician Assistant.
Sahana has a history of working with patients with Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. In addition, she has a special interest in working with patients who struggle with perinatal, postpartum depression, anxiety, and PMDD.
In her free time, Sahana enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughter and their dog Winnie. She considers herself to be a foodie, and enjoys trying new local restaurants in the area.
